Our Scope:
The Standard at Berkeley project was completed in 2021 and was an off-campus student housing project for DCO Commercial Floors. The DCO team installed flooring in 193 units with 9,590 square feet of tile, 1289 square yards of carpet tile, 59 square yards of broadloom, and 2,245 linear feet of base in the common area. All 193 units consisted of LVT and carpet, with LVT in the corridors, and golf simulator turf and exterior turf installed outside. Backsplashes and tub surrounds were also a part of our scope. The standard at Berkeley is the first project that DCO Commercial Floors has completed in California. Working in a new state has its challenges, and we were able to create a beautiful project, even with resource scarcity, logistical issues, scheduling and supply chain demands, and the location of the job. While the DCO team was presented with many challenges throughout this project, we were able to build new relationships with a project well done.
