11 Corporate Square, home to CDC-Atlanta, is comprised of two older buildings combined into one building. The products were originally specified out of Seattle and were over budget. DCO Commercial Floors was able to involve Tandus/Tarkett to specify the project and to help bring the owner within budget without sacrificing quality. The existing buildings were aged, which presented many obstacles to overcome including subfloors that were well out of tolerance from the original construction many years ago. This caused many challenges, especially since the floor flatness requirements were very stringent. DCO Commercial Floors used large amounts of leveling products to correct the floors and make them perfectly flat. Moisture issues also arose, but the timeline was non-negotiable. No extension would be granted, no matter what. DCOCF installation crews had to work after hours and on weekends. Account Executives made sure the crews did what was necessary to get the job done on time and completed correctly. Even with the strict standards and unpredictable conditions, DCOCF was able to complete the project in the timeframe allotted.
