The Hilton downtown renovation included complete remodel of entrance, lobby, check-in, restaurant, lounge, conference areas, and hotel management and administrative offices. There was a challenge to perform all renovation work without closing hotel operations, including job activity sequence planning and coordination; material and logistics management; and site protection, safety and labor management.
A flexible and adaptable project scope management plan was developed with consideration of multiple execution scenarios that were reviewed, validated, and then made available as contingencies which allowed for midcourse construction install decisions based on the needs of hotel event operations to address change in business demand, schedules, etc.
