Mike Blanton, Founder

May 25th, 1954 – March 25th, 2017

Mike Blanton opened Dalton Carpet Outlet on July 5, 1978, with just one other part-time employee. He had been exposed to the floor covering industry at an early age; his mother, who had worked previously as a bookkeeper for a hardwood company, started an in-home carpet business when Mike was young and eventually opened her own retail location. Mike worked for her company as an installer during his high school and college years.

Through growth and relocations, the company eventually joined the nationwide Carpet One cooperative and changed its name to Dalton Carpet One in 1988. A second location in Gainesville had already been added in 1979, and the company’s third store opened in Eatonton in 2000. Mike continued to steadily grow the commercial side of the business, and DCO Commercial Floors now takes on projects all over the country.

Over the years, Mike was honored with numerous awards, including the Alan Greenberg Award in 2011. Named for the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of CCA Global Partners (Carpet One’s parent company), the award is given each year to the member who most embodies the Carpet One Floor & Home spirit and values.

Mike married his wife, Kelley, in 1997. Mike’s son, Curtis Blanton, is the Vice President of DCOCF.

Patrick Rooney, General Manager

Patrick joined the DCOCF team in April of 2017. He is originally from Nebraska and grew up knowing the flooring industry. Patrick has a diverse background and has worked in distribution, manufacturing, commercial and residential sales and project management.

In Patrick’s free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Jennifer, and their French Bulldog, Morty. He also likes traveling, golfing, boating, cooking, and smoking cigars.

Lee Stinchcomb, Chief Financial Officer

Lee began his career with Dalton Carpet One as Controller in 2002 and is currently the Chief Financial Officer for DCO Commercial Floors. He received the 2004 Associate of the Year Award, and he holds a BBA in Accounting from the University of Georgia. Originally from Madison, Georgia, Lee still makes the same town his home today.

Lee and his wife have four children. When he isn’t at DCO, Lee enjoys Friday night football games with the high school band and ROTC, spending time at the lake with family, and watching Nascar and college football.

Curtis Blanton, Vice President

Curtis Blanton

Being submersed in the flooring industry from an early age, Curtis launched his career in 2007 as the Store Manager of Dalton Carpet One at the Eatonton location. In 2012, he was promoted into the Commercial Flooring division as the General Manager. As Vice President, Curtis currently focuses on the Texas and Southeastern markets.

Curtis is an active member of the Floor Covering Installation Contractors Association (FCICA), participating on the Board of Directors, on the Membership Committee, as well as Chairman of Successors Task Force. He also serves on the Technology Committee for Starnet Flooring.

Born and raised in Athens, Ga., he couldn’t help but attend the University of Georgia to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Management. He is a strong supporter of Building for America’s Bravest and The Stephen Silller Tunnel to Towers Foundation. When he isn’t working, Curtis likes to golf, run, and root for the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves.

Adrienne Dean, Marketing and Media Manager

Originally from the bayous of Louisiana, Adrienne graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a degree in Public Relations. Since then, she has earned marketing and public relations experience in the healthcare, luxury automobile, student housing, and consumer product goods industries. She joined the floor covering business in early 2016 as the Marketing Manager for Dalton Carpet One residential. She specializes in digital marketing, design, brand development, and media placements.

Adrienne and her husband, Joel, reside in Atlanta. Together, they enjoy traveling around the world, attending concerts, and rooting for the LSU Tigers and the Atlanta Braves. Adrienne also adores hot yoga, going for a hike, and cooking up a spicy Cajun dinner.

Ezra Peterson, Senior Account Executive

Upon earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Forest Resources from the University of Georgia, Ezra began working in commercial sales for Dalton Carpet One in 1999. Ezra’s expertise is one of the most diverse in the industry. His efforts and talents have allowed him to work successfully in a variety of fields over the years, including Healthcare, Education, Hospitality, and Senior Living.

Because of his dedication to the job and impeccable work ethic, he has earned a place in the President’s Club (open to those who acquire more than $1 million in sales) each year since the club opened in 2001. He has also been awarded with the Top Gun: Best of the Best Award for his exceptional performance since its inception in 2015.

Ezra is married to Sabrina and together they have a daughter, Sophia. When he isn’t working, Ezra enjoys fitness, basketball, tennis, golf, and traveling.

David Connell, Account Executive

Graduating from Athens Tech in 1975 in Marketing and Management, David knew he was meant for the flooring industry. He started his own flooring business in 1976, which later closed in 2011. David joined the DCOCF sales team in 2010 with a focus on central and south Georgia. Areas of expertise include carpet and resilient flooring.

David’s son, Ryan Connell, also started working at DCOCF in 2005. In his free time, David enjoys spending time with his wife of more than 40 years, Debbie, their four grandchildren, and horses. He also enjoys playing golf.

Ryan Connell, Senior Account Executive

In 2005, Ryan joined the Commercial Flooring industry with two degrees under his belt: an Associate’s of Mathematics from Front Range Community College and a Bachelor’s in Engineering Physics. He specializes in estimating, ceramic tile and shower systems, and resilient tiles (VCT, LVT, etc.).

In his free time, Ryan enjoys being outdoors hunting, fishing, cycling, running, skiing, and rock climbing. He also likes working on projects around his house, on his truck and boat. Time with his family is important to him, as well as traveling.

Jeffrey Thomas, Account Executive

Jeffrey Thomas 2Jeffrey graduated from the University of Georgia with a BBA in Marketing and began working at DCO in 2007. Jeffrey has since been honored as a member of the President’s Club every year since 2014, received a Top Gun Award in 2015, and is OSHA 30 Certified. Jeffrey specializes in working with hospitality, higher education, healthcare, and corporate accounts.

Jeffrey is originally from Athens, Ga, and now resides in Atlanta. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and running.

Jay Guerra, Account Executive

Jay joined the DCOCF team in August of 2017. He is a native Texan and brings with him 25 years of experience in the flooring industry. His areas of expertise include commercial, multi-family, new construction, and renovations. He is known in the industry as being able to conceptualize beyond the ordinary and to nurture projects from beginning to completion.

Danny Thompson, Account Executive

Danny started with Dalton Carpet Outlet in March of 1985 as an Outside Builder Sales Representative. His role was to develop new business in the growing builder market in the Athens metro area. He then took on a Sales Management roll, training new reps to further expand and grow builder customers, before returning to a fulltime sales roll in 1989. Danny has achieved many awards with Dalton Carpet One, including Outside Salesperson of the Year for more than 10 years, Presidents Club awards for having a million or more dollars in sales, and most recently earning the Top Gun award for overall sales performance. Danny transitioned to his current Account Executive roll in 2008 as the company focused on expanding the commercial business. He has worked with the student housing market working with top multifamily developers all over the nation. He has completed projects in Oregon, Texas, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, and Arizona. With the next several years looking as promising as the last ten, Danny and DCOCF are looking forward the challenges and rewards of this segment of DCOCF’s business.

Danny enjoys spending time with his wife, Donna, by traveling, working on his classic cars, watching NASCAR, and supporting his six grandchildren in whatever they are into next.

Jeremy Friedman, Account Executive

Jeremy joined DCOCF in February 2016 with five years of prior flooring experience and an Associates Degree from Perimeter College in Business Administration. He is also FCICA and Procore Certified. He works closely in Hospitality, Higher Education, Restaurants, Healthcare, Commercial Property Management, and Senior Living.

Jeremy is married to Lindsey Friedman and have three children: Noah, Emma, and Gavin. When not at DCO you might see him out on a field coaching ball, traveling, golfing, and biking. He and his family attend 12Stone Church.

Joe Pryor, Senior Account Executive

Joe has been with DCO for more than 20 years and in the flooring business for more than 35 years. He brings experience in all areas of the flooring industry including warehouse, buying, management, and sales. Joe’s current position makes him an expert in Higher Education, Restaurants, Healthcare, and Industrial facilities.

Joe has won numerous awards including Store of the Year twice, Outstanding Store Performance, and Salesperson of the Year. He has also received the Presidents Club Award two years in a row.

Joe is married to Eva Pryor and they have two children, Justin and Leah. When not at the beach, Joe enjoys everything outdoors such as swimming, fishing and hunting. Originally from Virginia, Joe and Eva now reside in Pendergrass, Ga.

Luke Canup, Account Executive

Luke joined DCOCF in 2012, bringing with him four years of experience in commercial flooring and 17 years of experience in the construction industry. He studied Architecture at Clemson from 1999 – 2001 before switching to Construction and currently holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Science & Management from Southern Polytechnic State University. His areas of expertise include Senior Living Facilities, Higher Education, Private Schools, and Country Clubs.

Luke has won several awards and recognitions, including Rookie Salesman of the Year in 2012 and the Presidents Club Award from 2013-2017. He is OSHA 30 certified and a Georgia Residential Licensed Contractor.

Luke has been married to LaDonna Canup since 2005 and together they have a son, Townsen. When he isn’t at DCO, Luke enjoys kayaking, running, and going to concerts. He is a member and Deacon at Hills Crossing Baptist Church where he is very involved. Luke heads up a construction oriented local mission team called Mighty Men and also runs a small local collection point for gathering used Christian literature for distribution to foreign nations through a ministry called Love Packages. Originally from Toccoa, Luke and his family now reside in Turnerville, Ga., where they root on both the Clemson Tigers and UGA Bulldogs.

Ben Eldridge, Account Executive

Ben has been with DCO Commercial Floors since 2004. with him, he brought a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from the University of Georgia and three years of flooring experience. He specializes in commercial flooring in carpet and carpet tile, hardwood, porcelain tile, stone, resilient tile and sheet vinyl, and shower systems.

Over the years Ben has earned many awards and recognitions, including Commercial Salesperson of the Year 2007 – 2008, Presidents Club Award every year from 2006 – 2017, and the prestigious Top Gun: Best of the Best Award in 2016.

Ben, his wife, Kim, and two children, Camden and Sawyer, reside in Oconee County. They are active members of Watkinsville First Baptist Church where Ben and Kim teach a children’s Sunday school class. He is extremely active in sports with his kids, having coached them in baseball, football, and basketball. His hobbies include renovating and selling homes, breeding English Bulldogs and Goldendoodles, and supporting all UGA sports.

John Eisele, Site Superintendent

After earning his Associate’s Degree in Construction Management from McHenry County College, John entered the flooring world in 1999. Since then, he has gained extensive knowledge of all types of flooring, specifically hardwood, ceramic and porcelain tile, and stone. He brought his expertise to DCOCF in late 2017.

When not working, John loves his family time with his wife, Paula, and son, Luke. He also enjoys duck and deer hunting, fishing, and just being outdoors. He and his family attend church every Sunday. His favorite sports teams are the Chicago Blackhawks and the Texas Longhorns.

Toby Jones, Site Superintendent

Toby joined the DCOCF team in May of 2017. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science. Toby started working in the flooring industry in 1998 and has experience in estimating, project management, tile, wood, and vinyl.

Toby is a Houston Astros and Houston Texans fan. He enjoys fishing, camping, and going off-roading with his wife with their Jeeps.

Michael Epps, Site Superintendent

Michael began working at DCOCF in August of 2017. Michael brings with him previous experience working with hardwood flooring. He is a Georgia Bulldogs fan and enjoys spending time with his family. In his free time, Michael loves to go fishing and playing golf.

John Saye, Project Manager

John joined the flooring industry when he was welcomed aboard DCOCF in October 2014. He started off as a Site Superintendent but has now moved onto a Project Manager role in Austin, Texas, where he specializes in Multi-Family, Higher Education Facilities, Hospitality, and Military Bases. John has his B.A. in History from August University, and also went to UGA where he earned his Master’s of Natural Resources. John is also a Certified Installation Manager and is OSHA 30 certified.

In his free time, John enjoys fly fishing, golfing, cycling, reading, and playing the guitar, mandolin, and banjo. After serving in the USAF for four years (2004-2008), he is still in Reserves. John is also involved in his church and values his family, wife Rebecca and two daughters, Magnolia and Brice. Being a UGA graduate comes with a diehard love for the Dawgs, who he supports fully.

Warrick Ireland, Project Manager

Warrick earned his Associates Degree from Brooklyn institute of Design and Construction. He is also CIM certified. He began working for DCOCF in May 2017 and specializes in customer satisfaction. Warrick and his family recently moved to the south and is loving it.

Todd Minish, Project Manager

Todd earned his Bachelor’s of Architecture in 1983 at Southern Polytechnical Institute and is a Licensed Georgia Architect. He has been working in the flooring industry since 1996. He was hired in October 2015 as a Project Manager for DCOCF.

Doug Coombs, Project Manager

Doug started his journey with the floor covering industry in January 2014 with CBA Sports Indoor & Outdoor Athletic Flooring. Shortly afterward, he joined the DCOCF team in August 2015 as Project Manager. His areas of expertise include: Administration & Information Management, Cost Management, Material & Labor Management, and Supply Chain & Logistics Management.

With him, he brings a B.A. in Business Management from Judson University, an Executive B.S. Certification in Supply Chain Management from Penn State University, and an Executive B.S. Certification in Strategic Retail Management from College of William & Mary. He is also a Certified Flooring Installation Manager with FCICA and a Certified Lean Six-Sigma Executive Green Belt.

Doug lives in Atlanta with his wife, Lori, and children, Wyeth, William, and Ainslee.

Erik began working in the flooring industry in 2003, and joined DCOCF in 2015. He is an expert with tile and is CIM Certified.

Meghan Blanchard, Project Manager

Megan started working in construction in 2005 then transferred to the flooring industry in 2008. Beforehand, she studied Business at Valdosta State University. Her areas of expertise include Multi-family Housing, Corporate Occupied Lift Installations, and Hospitality.

She is married to Danny and together, they have two girls, Emma and June. They love spending time together as a family while outdoors and on the water; at the beach or at the lake on their boat.

Jessica Harrison, Project Manager

Jessica joined DCOCF in May of 2017. She graduated from Kennesaw State University with a B.S. in Integrated Studies of Anthropology and Sociology. Jessica comes with personal experience in the flooring industry as her father owns and operates a flooring business, but she officially began working in the flooring industry in 2013.

Jessica is married to Sean, and together they have a son, Colton. They enjoy hiking and exploring with their two dogs and in their free time they enjoy watching the Green Bay Packers play.

Vicki White, Invoice Scheduler

Vicki joined DCO in October, 2016. She has experience in office management, construction and property development, and rental property management. She lives in Winterville with her husband, J. Phillip White. Together they have one son, Zach. She enjoys history, cooking, and fitness. Taking day trips to the mountains and spending time outdoors is one of her favorite things to do. Her best walking companion is her schnoodle, Jerry.

Taylor Walker 1Taylor joined the DCOCF team in June of 2017. She studied Business at Valdosta State University and hopes to finish her degree at UGA. She grew up in Barrow county and now lives in Athens with her boyfriend and their dog. When she isn’t working, Taylor enjoys spending time with her family and friends in Athens and on Lake Hartwell.

Lana started in the flooring industry as a receptionist in August 2015 with Dalton Carpet One, then transferred to the Purchasing Agent position in December 2015 before joining the DCOCF team as a Contract Administrator in September 2016.

While she is not at work, Lana enjoys spending time with her husband and son.

Marla Herbert, Safety Compliance Officer

Marla joined Dalton Carpet One in 2011 as our Commercial Administrator, bringing with her five years of experience working in the construction industry. She is now the Safety Compliance Officer and is OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certified.

She resides in Hull, Ga., where she enjoys hiking, kayaking, camping, and painting in her spare time.

Terri Fields, Contract Administrator

Terri joined Dalton Carpet One in 2005 and worked in Order Entry and Purchasing before becoming the Merchandising Specialist in 2008.

In May 2015, Terri made the move to the Commercial Division and is now a Commercial Contract Administrator.

Originally from Atlanta, Terri and her family now reside in Winder. In her spare time, she likes to read, draw and vacation on the beach. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, and doing outdoor activities like riding, camping, and hiking.
